to the airport. if you are driving down the peninsula to redwood city, it's a nice drive. across the bay, we have slow traffic from 238 on down and in the santa clara valley we've had slow traffic and the 85 already. 7:07. let's go to -- let's go to steve. >>> this is a colder pattern. this may last a while. 7, 10, 15 day -- 15 days. there's a pattern with stronger systems coming in. christmas week could be kind of rainy and snowy as well. i almost had to choke there for a second. i'm okay now. coming down from cape mendocino there could be some snow. we need that because the snow level was way too high. but that's changing. there's not a lot of life with the system. heard from steve bridges up in the keys, 2 inches at lake level. it will be more of a powdery. you can see some scattered showers around, nothing widespread or anything. just kind of -- there was some towards orinda, san rafael, berkeley, emeryville, san mateo, redwood city, heading over towards the hayward side. also along highway 1 towards woodside, skyline, 84. san gregoireia and then towards the santa cruz mountains. there's been

of the year. that's the highest death toll in the city in more than four years. it happened around 3:00 yesterday afternoon. they responded to reports of a car crash and found a 16-year-old boy lying in the street. it appears the victim was stabbed. >>> arraignment was put off for the man ordered to stand trial last year of a vallejo police officer. henry albert smith junior is accused of killing this officer. he had just robbed a bank, when he shot him. that was november 17th of last year. smith is charged with murder. the arraignment was rescheduled for february 15th. prosecutors said they will decide by then whether to seek the death penalty. >>> fatal stabbing of a teenager two years ago. newark police announced the arrest of tovar and daniel la guzman of newark and daniel howard of fremont in the killing of justice. he was stabbed in broad daylight on september 15th, 2010. it happened a quarter mile from newark high school. it was retaliation for a fist fight. they were arrested monday and booked into the santa rita jail. >>> they have arrested a man on dui charges after he slam

girl could be running out of time. rick folbaum is live in our new york city newsroom with more. >> police say the girl could die in a matter of days unless she is found and taken back to a hospital for treatment. her name is emily bracamonte, she is 11 years old, she has been getting chemo to treat her leukemia for the past month. there have been complications, she developed an infection. doctors had to amputate part of one of her arms and insert a catheter into her heart. she apparently had that catheter in when for some reason her mother norm a removed the iv. dressed her in street clothes and walked her out of the front door of the hospital last wednesday night. the catheter is the biggest certain for doctors. leaving it in too long could lead to another infection, one that could kill her they say. the girl and her mother are american citizens, the girl's mother, louis bracamonte is mexican. he has a green card. neither parent is charged with a crime at this point. police are anxious to find this little girl to get her treatment. there is speculation that the mom took her ou

chihuahua that was rescued from animal care and control here in the city. we rescued him the day before sandy hit. he actually was starting to get sick in the she willer -- shelter and we were afraid he would end up on the euthanasia list. she picked hip up and brought him to us. niece a foster home in ocean side and he is doing spectacular. >> brian: does he get along? does he hop on the furniture? is he friendly to children? >> very friendly. dogs, cats, people. >> brian: all right. now let's look at lucky. ice a mix of pit bull and golden retriever. >> yes. lucky is about a year, year and a half. he was also rescued from the brooklyn shelter. he was on the euthanasia list, found a a stray with a severely broken leg. he required two operations to correct it. >> brian: who pays for that? >> we do. i mean, we're basically funded through donations, like the kindness of the community and fundraising. >> brian: right. so paws for a cause is where we find out more. this dog roughly a year and a half? >> yes. >> brian: so a year and a half. and what do you think the characteristics of lucky?

: david lee miller is live in new york city with the very latest. and, david, what do we know about the location of that blood clot? >> reporter: gregg, the authorities have not released that information. they have only disclosed she is being treated for a clot. she fainted earlier this month and hit her head causing a discussion. the clot was discovered in a follow-up exam. the state department issued a statement. it said in part, and i quote, secretary clinton's doctors suffered a blood clot had been formed because of con caution she sustained several weeks ago. she is being treated and at new york presbyterian and can be monitored her condition over the next 48 hours. clinton hags not had any public appearances since she suffered the concussion. among the things she was forced to cancel. the congressional hearings on attacks in benghazi and she had to cancel a number of trips overseas. >> what is being said about the health risks here? >> reporter: as we just heard. doctors say these blood clots can be serious but the severity of the problem depends greatly on the clot's location
